Water in summer in florida

Hi
I have moved from NJ to Florida. Will there be a problem of standing water and mosquitos if I use hydroponic method in Sarasota FL.

Hi Virginia,
We have a house in Veince (!) and I've never had a problem with mosquitos in my plants. Of course you want to dry out everything between waterings and that helps discourage them. I let my dendrobiums, cattleyas, etc sit dry for several days before rewatering - even in the Florida heat.
